South Bay promotes two community events annually in our recreation area for residents and their families.
The gatherings are a wonderful time to catch up with neighbors, meet new residents and make new friends. These events are usually held late afternoon into the early evening. Food is available from food trucks. Residents bring their own lawn chairs or blankets if desired.

Back to School Ice Cream Social
The South Bay Community gathered at the tennis court area for some fun, music and delicious ice cream provided by our proud sponsors. It was a great way to get together before the school year gets in full swing.
FALL FESTIVAL
New for 2022 is the South Bay Fall Festival to be held at the tennis courts and is a party for all ages with fun and games to bring our community together.
SPRING FLING
Held in the spring of each year is a fun-filled event with a “party-focus”. In the past we have had face painting, balloon artistry, games, a bicycle parade and free ice cream for children.
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT (NNO)
Officially held the first Tuesday in August (or the first Tuesday in October) with a “community watch” focus. The Sherriff’s office sends representatives to share information and offer important tips. Many times we are fortunate to have one of our own off-duty patrol officers arrive on horseback. South Bay is proud to have one of the largest community turnouts in Orange County for this event. Fun and games are the focus for children with a great social climate for adults. Food trucks offer a variety of fare with free ice cream for the kids. The grand finale at our last NNO was a water-balloon match between parents and their children!
